Immediate full-time postdoctoral positions are available at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario, Canada). Available projects will focus on 1) the application of solution NMR spectroscopy to the structure, dynamics and interactions of proteins and complexes in the ubiquitylation pathway, 2) using NMR to study the structures, dynamics and protein-protein interactions of naturally disordered proteins, and 3) the three-dimensional structure determination of proteins mined through the Ontario Centre for Structural Proteomics. Candidates should possess a recent Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related field. Previous experience with protein NMR spectroscopy, three-dimensional structure calculation or other biophysical methodologies is preferred
The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Western Ontario houses a state-of-the-art Biomolecular NMR Facility comprising two Varian Inova 600 MHz NMR instruments, accompanying triple-resonance cold-probe and a Varian Unity 500 MHz NMR instrument (http://www.biochem.uwo.ca/wits/bionmrl/index.html). There is also access to the Varian 800 MHz NMR spectrometer housed at the National High-Field NMR Facility (NANUC). On-site facilities for complementary biophysical techniques such as isothermal calorimetry, fluorescence spectroscopy and analytical ultracentrifugation are also available
