JOB SUMMARY: To provide assistance with projects performed in the Bio-Imaging facility. Duties include: maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment; maintaining electron and optical microscopes; assisting in developing protocols for new techniques; ordering supplies and equipment; training and performing other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in Science or equivalent diploma in microscopy (Masters preferred) plus minimum three years microscopy experience. Experience in image processing. Computer experience required (Macintosh and PC). Effective oral and written communication, problem solving, supervisory, interpersonal, organizational skills. Ability to plan and complete work assignments independently. Ability to follow instructions and teach.
