Duties include: ordering equipment, reagents and supplies; keeping records of inventory and expenditures; maintaining, organizing and cleaning lab and equipment; preparing lab solutions; growing and maintaining tissue culture cells; maintaining mouse colony; assisting with DNA extraction, PCR genotyping and breeding; performing experiments involving molecular biology and biochemical techniques; and performing other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation (B.Sc. in biological sciences preferred) plus minimum two years related experience. Experience working in a lab environment. Computer experience required. (Experience with Mac.) Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, math and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
