Beginning with the December 2007 issue of the Nova Scotia Business Journal, we began our monthly coverage of top Nova Scotian companies and business personalities. What does Acadia University see as the strength of its Strategic Investment Course? Dr. Roger Wehrell, Business Faculty Director, says Acadia is known for its technology-enriched learning environment at Acadia. More recently, the current president has placed added emphasis on community involvement.
Why is it one of Nova Scotias Top 10 Business courses? In this course students analyze an investment decision. The innovative twist Acadia has is to connect students to a broader business community through the internet. This gives the professor the ability to facilitate the process especially if the students get into a situation where data is competitively critical, says Dr. Wehrell.
