The2010 QS World University Rankings were made public on September 6th, 2010. McGill University is ranked 19th overall out of 200 post-secondary institutions, one spot lower than last year, but still the top-rated higher-educational facility in Canada.

Founded in 1821, McGill University has earned an international reputation for scholarly achievement and scientific discovery. The only Canadian university ranked in the top 25 universities in the world by the Times Higher Education Supplement for four years running, McGill was also picked as the top medical-doctoral school in the country by Maclean's magazine in 2008.
